feeding livestock

I need to reconcile the amount of hay that I purchased with the amount I fed to the cows. I've used the "feed" function, but I would like a report that lists how much hay I have fed.

Go to Reports > All Reports > Field > Supply Use> By Supply. Select the Supply and the Correct date range and select Preview. This report will tell you the amount fed and the supply but not what group it was fed to.

You can also go into Reports > All Reports > Accounting > General Ledger > Accrual Method > Trial Balance. Scroll down to locate Feed Category listed under Supplies. Click on the Yellow Folder next to Feed. Select the Yellow Folder next to the correct feed supply. This should detail out all the times this supply has been used.

Hope this helps!

Thank You

Re: feeding livestock

Thank you for the help.

From my checkbook register, I know that I purchased 149 t of hay that was placed into Supplies. I know that I fed 67.6 ton to one group of cows, however when I run an enterprise statement it shows a record of 113 ton fed. I obviously made a mistake when recording a "feed" event. Can I run a report that lists the feed events? How do I correct the amount of feed given to the herd?

Re: feeding livestock

Mike,

There are a couple different reports that you can run. You can run the Enterprise Statement report for the specific group of animals or you can run an inventory supply report for the specific supply.

My suggestion would be to run the Enterprise Statement. Easiest way to access the report is to locate the group listed in the Inputs Tab on the left hand side. Right click on the Group Name and select Reports. There will be 2 reports to choose from. Select the Enterprise Statement. The Enterprise Statement screen will already have the correct group select so that all you have to do is select the Report tab.

This will list out any inputs or supply that have been allocated or fed to that group.

Hope this helps!
