We use Excel to record weights and manipulate data for our cattle. We use Farmstock to keep track of the animals themselves but do not use for weights because, frankly, the weight reports are not useful and it is not possible (I do not think) to create a custom report for what we need. We like to look a a particular group, particular gender, and see in one place what each individual's performance has been like since birth and be able to readily compare ROGs and weights amongst similar animals. I have been using Farmstock since it's introduction and have been waiting for a decent report for this. The data is all there, but someone needs to write a report to make it useful. I would be more than happy to send an example of the Excel report we use with sample data if you tell me how. I have it saved as a pdf.
