You will probably need to get in touch with Raven, who should be able to point you in the right direction of getting the Envizio Pro connected correctly with the laptop.

Normally the USB to 9 Pin adapters have drivers that need to be installed. Normally it is just a straight through connection and should not alter the signal in any way.

I found the 822 cable schematics and as U said it is quite obvius not to get the apllied info if the wiring is wrong. But since we are using a laptop and todays laptop usually do not have a real serail port we are usng USB to serial adapter and my question here how we handle the conection as the usb - serail is usually not a full handshake.

I do not have access to the wiring diagrams that would show what Pins are wired and what pin should be outputting the 12 volts.

I wonder if U can fin dout for me to what pin on the RS232 9pin conector the 12Volt should e applied.

Normally Raven will not guarantee connection between the controller and device without the use of an 822 cable. This cable is specifically designed by Raven to connect the controller and the device.

If the Mobile program is not recognizing the applied rate that lets us know that there is a communication problem between the controller and Mobile.

Most Implement Switches are wired to a 12 volt power source so that when the switch is on Farm Works is recognizing the 12 volts and will log, when the switch is off Farm Works will recognize that there is not power being sent and then will not log.

FarmWorks Mobile Ver .2011.08 running on a laptop.

We have just built a ubique controller that uses the Raven VRA controller in order to vriable drive an electric motor in a special project.
All works fine and respond OK to the VRA command.
The only 2 small issues we are missing are :
1. An implement sw. emulator.
2. At the moment we can't get the Mobile to show the Aplied data on the screen.

I thought that having the technical reference info on how the Mobile handles the sw info. I'll be able to complete the project.

What type of IFB are you referring to? What type Raven Controller are you using? Can you provide me with more information as to what you will be using as far as the controller and the what version of Farm Works Mobile or Site Mate you are currently running?
