Make a new backup file called (your name) date (no slashes).<br /><br />2. Click onto the link below and follow these instructions;<br /><br />3. Click on the Words &quot;Upload Here&quot;.<br /><br />4. When the small upload box appears click on the button called Browse.<br /><br />5. Change the Look In box to where you saved the backup file from step 1.<br /><br />6. Highlight the backup file name and click Open.<br /><br />7. When you have returned back to the previous screen, click on the button called Upload below the file name box.<br /><br />8. You will see the process bar and will receive a message when upload is complete.<br /><br />9. Send me an email to tell me that your backup file is on our web site, the name of the backup file along with the explanation of the problem within the project. All 4 fields are in the cross hatch pattern. They have the combined acres of the 4 fields. I just want the lines removed for the fence rows used to be. This used to be a very simple process. The programmers need to put this back the way it used to be when you could split or merge fields.]]></description>

I do have it where you right click on the farm (made up of the 4 fields) and the correct acres shows up in the properties for the 4 fields combined. I just cannot remove the lines where the fence rows used to be. Will there be somebody at the Farm &amp; Gin Show in Memphis on March 2nd or 3rd that can show me how to do this?]]></description>

The only thing that would be causing this is another old field with same lines still exists. You states that all fields are found in the Unassigned Client. What do you have created for Farm Names?]]></description>

Field boundaries or Enterprises?<br />When you right click select this field on the map and get the cross hatch across the whole field, then select properties, do your Mapped acres, legal, tillable acres all match fairly close?<br /><br />The only way I know of getting rid of old boundary lines is to create a new field with new boundaries. Otherwise ALL old field boundaries and enterprise boundaries have to be edited to to include ALL area in question.<br /><br />My $.02]]></description>

From following your directions from 5-31-2011, if you right click anywhere on the 4 fields it DOES show just the total acres for the 4 fields combined, which means keeping records for 1 field and not 4 separate fields. Printing a map for the co-op, etc. would be confusing since the map would show 4 fields but all the fencerows have been removed and it is now 1 field. I wish this was as simple as it used to be to split and merge fields! Surely there's a way to get this done.]]></description>

Move to the mapping screen, right click and select Delete. Save and close. Open the Field Name to display the Crop Enterprise names. Repeat the right click - edit boundaries process for each Crop Enterprise listed as well. Hope this makes sense!]]></description>

I guess you need to go into greater detail step by step to help me delete the old boundaries or I can leave them like they are if it won't affect my record keeping from this point on. I would try and unretire, but what I suspect is that the Crop Enterprise maps did not get deleted, only the Field Boundary map. Those Enterprise maps may also need to be edited and deleted as well. (I left them &quot;retired&quot;). When I right clicked on the field to &quot;edit boundaries&quot; a message popped up--There are enterprises which depend on this field's boundary. Do you want to edit the enterprises as well? I tried answering it yes for all 4 fields and the boundary lines were still there and no for all 4 field and the boundary lines were still there. I couldn't try it the 2nd way you suggested because &quot;Unassigned Client&quot; is the way I've always had it set up. Do I have to &quot;un-retire&quot; the 4 fields to get the boundary lines deleted. There was fertilizer applied Fall of 2011 and field work on these 4 fields that I would want to keep for my records.]]></description>

Go to the mapping screen. Right click on map and select Delete. Save and close. Another option is to right click on the old field name and select Properties. Change the Client name to Unassigned Client. Click OK. This will keep the old field and map away from the current client maps. The only time you will see those lines on the mapping screen is when you highlight the Unassigned Client or the User Info icon at very top of Red Barn Tab.]]></description>

I needed to merge 4 fields into 1 field. I followed all of the instructions 1-7 that you gave on 5-31-2011. I did a &quot;test&quot; spray job on the field to see if it worked. It did as far as I can tell. The acres sprayed was the total of the 4 fields combined. The old boundaries are still on the maps (if that matters). This is what I was wondering about how to remove the old boundary lines or just live with them. This is a feature I still miss where you could split and merge fields that was so simple.]]></description>

Some how it got combined with one of the merged pieces and now it's all one field. It is farmed as one but the 40 has a different owner. Since you may have history as two separate fields, you may want to consider creating a new field that represents all the separated fields as one. Then you can copy each boundary and paste addition to the new field. Here are the steps to follow:<br /><br />1. Create the new Field name under the desired Farm.<br />2. Left click to highlight first old field name.<br />3. Go to the Mapping screen. Right click on first boundary map and select Copy.<br />4. Back under the Red Barn Tab, right click on the New Field name and select Edit Boundaries.<br />5. Back to the mapping screen, right click and select Paste Addition. Click Save and close.<br />6. Repeat steps 2-5 for each old field that is becoming one.<br />7. Once all field boundaries on the new Field, you can retire the old field names. Right click on old name and select Retire.<br /><br />Hope this is what you wanted.]]></description>
